Sat. night my phone rang at 10:00...when i saw dad's cell on my phone i panicked and immediately thought something's wrong.... my dad does not call at 10:00 at night (actually no one calls at that time since i reached my 30's and had kids ha!).  when i answered the phone it was super loud and my dad was yelling "shannon do you hear this?!!"  i realized he was at a concert w/ my brother and he was excited about a song that was playing.  it put a smile on my face that he thought to call me.  i didn't want him to know that all i heard was yelling and nothing that resembled music.  i get my love for music from my dad.  he listens to songs he loves loud and over and over again.  whenever we are together he likes you to listen to the songs he's discovered.  it's cute and i realize i do the same thing....so here's my suggestion of the week (dad i think you'll like it).

this past weekend, i went camping with my family.  i'm not a camper by any means but i am trying to embrace it b/c my kids think it's fun and you know what, it's kind of growing on me.  we camped at the beach and it was actually hot enough for us to go swimming in the ocean.  it was quiet the day and it was fun going back to the campsite and cooking out.  i will say though, if i am going to camping more often, i want an airstream :)

this morning i found $3 on my desk which meant i was destine to go to starbucks and get coffee....when i got into my car i heard this song for the first time and thought how sweet is that....i decided that it was going to be a good day....hope y'all have a great start to the week.

good morning!  i hope y'all are having a wonderful week.  things here are starting to rev up...we will be closing on our house next month so i'm trying to make lots of last minute decisions....can't wait to have  more space then our 2 bedroom apt and a yard.  i also won't miss having to tell my kids to stop running and jumping b/c the people underneath will hear us!

getting to see mumford & sons was magical.  they're everything and more to see preform live.  and my eyes might have had a tear or two in them (call me a nerd, i'm ok w/ it).  if i could, i would be at that new orleans show in a skinny second.  if you ever get the chance to see them, do it.  you won't regret it.

two things that totally touched me in the last day....one you need a tissue box for (it's worth it) and one will make you laugh and put a huge smile on your face.  both, prove that love is real and oh so sweet.....

have y'all seen drinking buddies?  it's a pretty cute flick.  i love olivia wilde and her style in this movie (she might be my new girl crush).  she makes drinking draft beer look like a cool sport....
